Omega 3 fish oil remarkable benefits in reducing inflammation

Omega 3 fish oil is the most researched nutrient on the planet since 1980. Even the aspirin has not been studied as much as Omega 3s.

Omega 3s are commonly insufficient and surprisingly deficient in a lot of people. This deficiency precipitates downstream health impairments, and a wide variety of disease dynamics.

Omega 3 index is a risk factor marker for varies imbalances, impairments and disease processes in the body.

When we have ample amounts of Omega 3s, there’s a proper balance between Omega 3s and pro-inflammatory fats. Pro-inflammatory fats are Omega 6s and 9s. If Omega 6s and 9s are higher than Omega 3s, that promotes more inflammation and oxidative stress which impacts the health of all cells, organs, glands and tissues in the body.

Omega 3 index labwork is by far the best utility today to understand the status and sufficiency of Omega 3 essential fats in the body. Below I want to share my Functional Medicine client’s results of taking our Omega 3 BioPure fish oil supplements.

This client suffered from:

  • IBS
  • GI issues
  • hair loss
  • back pain
  • low thyroid function
  • brain fog
  • hormonal imbalance
  • acne
  • bacterial vaginosis (BV)
  • low energy

Through the functional medicine lens we were able to get to the root causes of her imbalances and her symptoms resolved in about 4 months. One of the supplements that we used during this client’s healing journey was Omega3 BioPure fish oil. She continues to feel better. I want to note that this client is only 28 years of age.

As you can see the score is 4.2. Such a low score predicts accelerated aging process.

Optimal ratio of Omega 3s to Omega 6s and 9s is 1:1. The BEFORE score was 39:1 which represents lots of systemic inflammation. After taking our Omega3 BioPure fish oil supplements this client’s cell inflammation dropped significantly to 3:1 ratio.

Not All Omega 3 Supplements are Made Equally!

  • Most low-end manufacturers dilute their fish oil, so 1000mg fish oil might not get you much actual Omega-3 at all. You might have to take 6 or 8 capsules to get a good dose. 
  • Sometimes the seemingly more expensive brands are actually a better deal because they are more concentrated. Your daily dose is a smaller number of capsules. 
  • Most fish oil comes in the cheap, mass producing form, a Triglyceride form. It has about 1 Omega 3 molecule per 2 Non-Omega 3 molecules, so there is about 30% of EPA and DHA in the capsule
  • Cheap, poor quality fish oil capsules often smell and taste fishy and are not 3rd party verified.
  • With low quality, cheap fish oil supplements you risk getting a dangerous dose of contaminants like PCBs and heavy metals, especially mercury. Far worse than not getting enough Omega-3s is getting toxic in the process of getting them!
  • Manufacturing and storage conditions also effect integrity and efficacy of fish oil. When fish oil becomes rancid due to inappropriate manufacturing and storage conditions, it actually promotes oxidative stress inside the body.
By optimizing Omega 3 levels, we can proved the right cellular environment. This results in lower levels of inflammation across all tissues, organs, glands and systems in our body. Downstream this provides better resiliency to aging, stress and any impairments, blockages, dysfunctions and dysregulations.
