Antioxidant & Peptide Eye Gel – The periorbital skin requires a different strategy
The skin around the eyes is structurally different from the rest of the face. It is thinner, contains fewer sebaceous glands and therefore produces less protective oil, is subjected to constant movement from blinking and expression, and is one of the first areas to reflect the cumulative effects of UV exposure and environmental stress. Standard facial moisturisers — even well-formulated ones — are not optimally designed for this microenvironment.
Environ’s Antioxidant & Peptide Eye Gel addresses this specifically.
The formula delivers vitamin A (as Retinyl Palmitate) in a concentration appropriate for the thin periorbital skin, alongside vitamins C and E and beta-carotene for antioxidant coverage. The inclusion of Matrixyl 3000 — a well-researched peptide complex that supports fibroblast signaling and collagen and elastin synthesis — gives this formula a meaningful structural support mechanism that goes beyond surface hydration.
Antioxidant & Peptide Eye Gel Key ingredients and their mechanisms
Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A): Vitamin A is the cornerstone of Environ’s skin health philosophy and is included here in a concentration calibrated for the thinner, more reactive periorbital skin. Retinyl Palmitate supports keratinocyte renewal and skin structural integrity in this delicate area.
Matrixyl 3000 (Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7): A well-researched peptide complex that supports fibroblast activity and the synthesis of collagen and elastin — the structural proteins responsible for skin firmness and resilience. Its inclusion in an eye-specific formula is clinically relevant given the high collagen turnover demands of the periorbital area.
Vitamins C and E and Beta-Carotene: A complementary antioxidant trio providing free radical defense in both the aqueous and lipid phases of the skin — supporting skin health in an area with limited natural sebaceous protection.
Where it fits in the Environ system
The Antioxidant & Peptide Eye Gel is suitable for all skin types and compatible with all stages of the AVST Step-Up System. It works synergistically with the rest of the Skin EssentiA routine — applied after toning and before the vitamin A moisturiser, delivering its targeted periorbital active payload to freshly prepared skin.
At Unique Verve, eye area skin health is considered as part of the comprehensive skin assessment — recognizing that the periorbital area reflects both topical and internal factors. Our Initial Functional Medicine Assessment is the appropriate starting point for understanding the full picture of skin health.
How to use
Apply a small amount to the orbital bone area (not directly on the lids or lash line) using the ring finger, morning and evening, after toning. Allow to absorb before applying your vitamin A moisturiser over the rest of the face.
