Hydroxy Acid Sebu-Lac Lotion Key ingredients and their mechanisms

Ammonium Lactate and Lactic Acid: Ammonium Lactate is the neutralized salt form of lactic acid, providing a more pH-stable and less potentially irritating delivery of lactic acid’s dual AHA exfoliation and humectant benefits. Together they support gentle, ongoing exfoliation of the stratum corneum surface, improve skin texture, and contribute meaningful hydration — lactic acid is a natural component of the skin’s natural moisturizing factor (NMF).

Urea: A naturally occurring molecule in healthy skin that functions as both a humectant (attracting water to the stratum corneum) and a mild keratolytic agent. At the concentration used in this formula, urea primarily improves corneocyte hydration and supports a smooth, even skin surface texture.

Glycerin: Additional humectant support for sustained hydration throughout wear time.

Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil: Maintains antimicrobial botanical activity against C. acnes throughout the day — extending the protection established by the cleanser and toner into the treatment moisturiser layer.
