N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC, 200mg) NAC is an acetylated derivative of the sulfur-containing amino acid L-cysteine and the most reliable and well-researched precursor to glutathione — the body’s master antioxidant and the liver’s primary detoxification molecule. Glutathione is a tripeptide (glutamate, cysteine, glycine) that serves as the substrate for glutathione-S-transferase enzymes in phase II liver detoxification, directly conjugating toxins and hormone metabolites (including estrogen metabolites) for excretion. The availability of cysteine — provided by NAC — is the rate-limiting step in glutathione synthesis.*

Milk Thistle Extract (262.5mg, Standardized to 80% Silymarin) Silymarin is the standardized flavonolignan complex extracted from the seeds of Silybum marianum (milk thistle). ALA also supports healthy CoQ10 redox status in the mitochondria and supports healthy nitric oxide levels in vascular tissue. Selenium as L-Selenomethionine (100mcg — 182% DV) Selenium is an essential trace mineral and an irreplaceable cofactor for glutathione peroxidase (GPx) — the enzyme family responsible for using glutathione to neutralize hydrogen peroxide and lipid hydroperoxides generated during phase I liver detoxification.
